Finally, a book about vampires that doesn’t sugar-coat, romanticizes, or fluff things up. In the Depths introduced me to Cyril DeSai, the ultimate evil vampire. He isn’t going to be happy spending his eternity on the run, Cyril plans to take over the entire world, and he does it by turning a group of poor, unsuspecting divers into his first children. Before I knew it, the man was rising to power as a beloved leader rather than a vile monster, which is precisely what is frightening about vampires to begin with! They are supposed to be sexy, charismatic, and evil to the core, and DeSai is just that. But when Rasia Engres enters the picture with her own terrible plot, DeSai begins to seem more like a victim than the victor, I’m sure other readers won’t even see her coming! I loved this book; RWK Clark hit it out of the ballpark!

Boring
Every vampire thirsts for something. And this one is interested in the idea of expansion. An exceptional read, not watered down like so many tales today.
Certainly a different view of the vampire world. A fun read with a shocker ending.

The first cause of the Vampire Apocalypse is Patrick. He was bitten, unknown by him, while they were in the hidden cave. Now, Patrick has made his girlfriend and her friend into human servants for DeSai. When they reach New York, more human servants are made until there are thousands. They are taking over New York and protecting their master, DeSai. DeSai is searching for his queen and his human servants send women to him that he will like. But none of the women are worthy. At least none are until Rasia comes.
DeSai In the Depths is a vampire tale, which relates the story of a vampire who has come into great power and the witch who seeks to obtain eternal life through being bitten by him. In this book, first in a trilogy, R.W.K Clark basically explores what would happen if a black witch also becomes a vampire and becomes really powerful. What would such a witch really be like! This is not the typical vampire story as it takes things to another level by adding this terrible witch Rasia with ulterior motives. Cyril is highly obsessed with finding a queen for his beloved ‘family’ and is determined to make Rasia his wife. Little does he know about the witch Rasia’s own dark plans.

R.W.K Clark never fails to write an intriguing, suspenseful book. I have read everything he has written and can hardly wait for the next one! I will surely be reading the next book in the trilogy.
I've been following this author for several months now, and I always read every book he releases. Like the author's previous books, In the Depths did not disappoint. Clark has a unique writing style that is fun and engaging to read. The main character, Cyril Desai, is a complex and fascinating character--sometimes almost over the top at times--but the story kept me glued to each page. The story presents an interesting dichotomy a man who wants a family more than anything else, yet wants a relationship that is with a woman who is evil and dark to her very core. The story gets deep and even shocking at times, but this is one of those books that you can't put down until you get to the last page.
The story line is well developed and highly creative. The captivating story in the book is how the author talks about vampire in a very amazing way. This book is all about the life style of a vampire but in a very unique way, it is interesting to know that vampire can live among humans and engage themselves in same daily activities done by humans. i really love the story line, and i love the tone used in the book.

This book is a a must read, it is different from most vampires book and very lovely. I love everything about the book and i will read it over and over again.
