I don't normally read stuff with much blood and sex, and yet I couldn't stop reading. There's enough plot to keep things going if pure erotica is not your thing - mainly, the authors take on vampires and vampire lore is interesting, and something different from other vampire stories out right now.
This book is the perfect start for a series and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I expected something a bit dark and erotic when I was turned onto this book, but what I got was a whole lot more. Quite quickly the work had me turning pages and reluctant to put it down. I am surprised at how the author weaves dark humor with some horrific details. I love the way it reads, once you are caught up in this, its tough to leave the world, no matter how much you may want to...
I read the original book years ago,and though there are are changes it still reads really well. I've known Tory her whole life and am glad of it. Her next book in the series will be that much better book !! Great Job!! Can't wait to see what happens.
I really liked this book. Its got a well thought out story line with plenty of Action. The author did a great job writing characters and scenes with out over writing so the reader can picture what is happening easily. The historical into modern times was done well and flows without being forced. while it does move fast, there is also enough erotica (again well written) to keep the reader engaged.
I hope to see a second book as I think this would make a great series.
